Q: Will the defoamer lower the compressive strength of concrete?

A: No. It collapses the harmful macro-bubbles (above ~1 mm) that weaken concrete while leaving the fine air-void system needed for freeze-thaw durability, so compressive strength is protected.

Q: Is there a powder defoamer for dry-mix mortar?

A: Yes. INVINO-2501 is a free-flowing silicone powder that blends evenly with dry-mix mortar, tile adhesive, and self-leveling cement, then dissolves and works on water addition.

Q: Is the defoamer stable in liquid PCE admixtures over time?

A: Yes. The modified polyether (8061) and polyether ester (8082) grades stay phase-stable in high-concentration PCE mother liquor without oiling out or floating over long storage.

Q: Which grade for fiber cement board vs. ready-mix vs. dry-mix?

A: Use INVINO-8061 for fiber cement board and cementitious slurry, INVINO-8082 polyether ester for cement products and ready-mix, and INVINO-2501 powder for dry-mix mortar and tile adhesive.

Q: Does it cause surface bug holes or honeycombing?

A: No — it prevents them. By speeding bubble release against the formwork, it gives a dense, smooth cast surface and avoids honeycombing and bug holes.
