Project Description
INVINO defoamers for Oil&Gas optimize the production, refining and processing of oil and natural gas. Taking INVINO as an example, this product can maximize the extraction purity and efficiency of petrochemical raw materials.
In addition, it is also very useful in downstream processes: effective foam control can ensure the smooth and smooth progress of multiple subsequent processes from drilling to refining. With the help of INVINOANTIFOAM, each process can be completed efficiently and smoothly.
Our range of defoamers for Oil and Gas Includes :

Defoamer for oil & gas—
Oil extraction
- Foaming material: drilling fluid;
- Foaming mechanism:
- Formation gas: When drilling into a gas-bearing formation, the hydrocarbons, CO2, H2S and other gases in the formation are easy to diffuse or invade the drilling fluid.
- The treatment agent decomposes to generate gas.
- Air: When drilling fluid circulates through the ground, it is easy to introduce air from vibrating screens, mixers, mud pumps, etc.
- Surfactant: sometimes to stabilize the pH of the drilling fluid and improve the thermal stability of the drilling fluid, it is also necessary to directly add sodium alkyl sulfonate (AS), sodium alkyl benzene sulfonate (ABS), polyoxyethylene octyl Surfactants with strong foaming properties such as phenol ether (such as OP-10).
- On-site environment: the temperature can reach 200℃; gas-liquid mixing.
- Addition point of defoamer: According to customer’s usage habits, some are added to drilling aids, and some are added directly on site
Defoamer for oil & gas—
Cementing section
- Foaming substance: cement slurry
- Foaming mechanism: related to various factors such as the composition of admixtures, the salinity of water, the gasification of cement and the mixing of cement injection equipment
If the cement slurry contains lignosulfonate admixture, the high plasma concentration of Ca2+, Mg2+ and Cl- in the water can easily induce bubbles in the cement slurry.
- On-site environment: high shear of cement mixing, up to 12000rpm.
- Adding point of defoamer: add it during cement processing and mixing

Oil and gas (water) separation
- Foaming substance: crude oil
- Foaming principle: Crude oil is prone to foam when it releases trapped gas under reduced pressure. This trend will greatly limit production. The foaming phenomenon is particularly serious in offshore drilling equipment due to the limitation of container size
- Site environment: gas-liquid mixing, high liquid viscosity.
- Adding point of defoamer: add along with crude oil
Gas scrubbing
- Foaming substance: the gas released by the scrubber
- Foaming principle: The scrubbing equipment is prone to foam when removing CO2 and H2S. This process is commonly used in natural gas and refinery gas, as part of gas processing, used in the production of ethylene (steam cracking) and ethylene oxide. Traceimpurities in the intake air such as liquid hydrocarbons, wellhead inhibitors, corrosion solids and valve grease, no matter what kind of absorbent (MDEA, DEA, TEA and DGA or carbonate) is used, foam will also be generated.
- Site environment: acidic.
- Adding point of defoamer: before the amine cooler and before the gas reflux condenser;

Delayed coking
- Foaming substances: coke powder and coke:
- Foaming principle: During the reaction, the coke layer formed by condensation gradually cokes on the inner wall of the coke drum from top to bottom. There is a foam layer on the top of the coke layer, and there are many intermediate products in the resul Foam is produced in coking heavy oil and pitch fractions.
- Site environment: high temperature, 490~500℃.
- Adding point of defoamer: add 10ppm of defoamer directly in the drum or before entering the furnace, which can control foam well. Speed up the operation of the drum and reduce coke deposits in the overhead steam line.
Petroleum refining
- Foaming substance: crude oil
- Foaming principle: When oil is mined, it will be mixed with many impurities, resulting in poor oil quality and color. At this time, vacuum distillation is required to remove impurities.
- However, in chemical operations, carbon dioxide is easily generated, and small molecules such as hydrogen sulfide overflow from the viscous system, resulting in the production capacity not reaching the design index, and the obtained distillate has a darker color.
- Site environment: high temperature, 150~400℃.
- Adding point of defoamer: add 10ppm of defoamer directly in the drum or before entering the furnace, which can control foam well. Speed up the operation of the drum and reduce coke deposits in the overhead steam line.
Oil transportation
- Foaming substances: residual oil, lubricating oil and diesel
- Foaming mechanism: Of course, the temperature of the residual oil is often very high. When water enters the storage tank, it will cause a lot of foaming. Lubricating oil and diesel oil are also prone to foaming due to shearing during transportation and u
- Adding point of defoamer: add defoamer into the storage tank or the inlet of the oil tank
